C. Larry "Luke" Jenkins

Mr. Childs Larry "Luke" Jenkins, age 75, of Estes Rd., Union, widower of Brenda Bryant Jenkins, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Brookstone Terrace in Woodruff.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Union, September 25, 1947, a son of the late C.W. Jenkins and Janie Lee Cudd Jenkins. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from Duke Power after 43 years. Mr. Jenkins was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of the Lockhart Masonic Lodge #244 and was a Shriner. Luke was also an avid Carolina Gamecock fan.

He is survived by a son, Wesley Jenkins of Woodruff; a step-daughter, Shannon White Perry of Union; a sister, Wanda J. Stein of Lockhart; a brother, Dean Jenkins of Central; two grandson, Charles Perry, Jr. and wife Kayla, and Bryson Perry; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by two sisters, Janice J. Allen and Jennie J. Woodsby.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Drew Rogers. Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday at the chapel prior to the services.

The family will be at the home of his sister, Wanda J. Stein, 402 Mill St., Lockhart.
