Candee Darlene Mccall Silvers

April 19, 2017 Mrs. Candee Darlene McCall Silvers, age 53, wife of Derrick Scott "Scotty" Silvers of 200 Pineneedle Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 after a battle with metastatic breast cancer. Mrs. Silvers was born on January 27, 1964 a daughter of the late Jack McCall and Nadine Mease McCall. She was a 1981 graduate of Union High School and was retired from Wal-Mart of Union after over 30 years. Mrs. Silvers was a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Chelsie Darlene Silvers of the home; one son, Derrick Silvers, Jr. of Simpsonville; one granddaughter, Rowan Shae Silvers; three brothers, Kenny McCall, Tony McCall, and Harry Lane McCall, all of Union; and her mother-in-law, Brenda Harris. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at Mon-Aetna Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chris Gulledge and Rev. Benny Green. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church. The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to the staff and nurses of Blue Ridge Hospice, the employees of Wal-Mart and the City of Union for their love and support of Candee and her family during her illness. Memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center at Spartanburg Regional Foundation, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home, 200 Pineneedle Rd., Union, SC 29379.
