Carl Denver Dabbs Lockhart, Sc

Mr. Carl Denver Dabbs, age 74, formerly of Lockhart, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Montrose Manor in Woodruff after a period of declining health. Mr. Dabbs was born in Lockhart, September 18, 1940, a son of the late L.J. and Mary Justus Dabbs. He was a retired textile worker and attended Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Carla Martin and husband Greg of Moore and Caron Jones of Spartanburg; three brothers: James "Buster" Dabbs and wife Ruth of Sharon, Dean Dabbs of TN and Olin Dabbs and wife Laura of Lockhart; three grandchildren: Catherine Renfro, Kimberly Guthzeit and Rachel Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dabbs was predeceased by a grandson, Barrett Martin. A memorial graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Lockhart Cemetery conducted by Rev. Brian Bishop. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Circle, Union, SC 29379 or to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at their respective homes.
