Carlie E. Anthony, Sr.

Mr. Carlie Eugene Anthony, Sr., age 77, husband of Rebecca Medford "Becky" Anthony of 252 Vernon Foster Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Anthony was born in Bryson City, NC, October 19, 1944, a son of the late Roy Thomas Anthony and Ruth Melvia Hyde Anthony. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of Faith Community Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mindy Anthony of Beaufort and a sister, Gerri Greene of Stanley NC. Mr. Anthony was predeceased by a son, Carlie Eugene Anthony, Jr.; a sister, Joyce Turner and husband G.W. Turner and four brothers, Doyle, Eli, Riley and Bill Anthony.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Faith Community Church of God conducted by Rev. Steven McAbee.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home, 252 Vernon Foster Rd., Union.
