Carlisle Freeman “Red Dog” Reardon

Mr. Carlisle Freeman "Red Dog" Reardon, age 63, husband of Betty Strickland Reardon, of 1332 Lovers Lane, Whitmire, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mr. Reardon was born October 16, 1954 in Union a son of Betty Ashe Steen of Lockhart and the late Carl Reardon. He was a 1972 graduate of Lockhart High School and later Nashville Diesel School. Mr. Reardon retired from Cone Mill-Carlisle Finishing Plant. He was a member of Lockhart Presbyterian Church, the Whitmire Rescue Squad and was a former member of the Good Fellows. Mr. Reardon was an Eagle Scout, loved hot rod cars, and was also known as Santa for many years throughout the Whitmire community. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are, three sons, Jason Reardon and wife Mary of Spartanburg, Timothy Eric Reardon and wife Tammy of Laurens, and Mike Senn and wife Jessica of Union; two sisters, Esther Starnes and husband Butch of Whitmire and Angie Patrick of York; eight grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Mackenzie, Audriana, Hailey, and Selena Reardon and Hunter and Hayden Senn; and lots nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including special nephews, Bill Strickland and wife Whitney and Jeff Strickland and wife Jaime. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Claude "Jabo" Steen and a sister, Myra Sue Reardon. Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Whitmire Rescue Squad conducted by the Rev. Kenny Weaver. Visitation will be held 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the Whitmire Rescue Squad. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whitmire Rescue Squad, 26350 SC Hwy 121, Whitmire, SC 29178 or Pine Ridge Baptist Church C/O Ronny Garner, 230 Lee Cemetery Rd., Whitmire, SC 29178. The family is at their respective homes.
