Carol Keisler Coffer

Mrs. Carol Keisler Coffer, age 82 wife of Thomas L. Coffer of Union, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Waterford at Dillon Point. Mrs. Coffer was born in Union, SC June 25, 1934 a daughter of the late Sgt. James Harold Keisler and Annette Crosby Keisler. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Carlisle Finishing. Mrs. Coffer was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Jennifer Murphy and husband Ricky of Union; three sons, Jay Coffer and wife Holly, James Coffer and wife Cynthia allof Union, and Dr. Jeff Coffer and wife Mary of Ft. Worth, TX; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughn. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The Judy Graham Sunday School Class is asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort. Visitation will be held 1:30 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Debt Reduction Fund, 915 S. Pinckney St., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her son, James and Cynthia Coffer, 101 Carter St., Union, SC 29379.
