Mrs. Carol Jean Haile Fowler, age 81, of 176 Jumping Run Drive, Jonesville, widow of James Paul Fowler, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Fowler was born January 18, 1944, in Union, a daughter of the late Charles Haile and Ruth “Bootsie” Padget Haile. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and worked as the secretary of Jonesville Baptist Church for 26 years. She was a lifelong member of Jonesville Baptist Church, where she served in various roles. Mrs. Fowler had a love for children and teaching Sunday School.

Surviving are two sons, Greg Fowler and wife Tina and Jason Fowler and wife Ami all of Jonesville; two sisters, Melissa Gossett and husband Marion and Donna Addis and husband Darrell all of Jonesville; three grandchildren, Katie Richards and husband Jonathan, Creed Fowler and Wyatt Fowler and fiancée Gracie Cannon; and one great-granddaughter, Kora Richards. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Ergle and her husband, Raymond of Aiken.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel conducted by her sons. Burial will be at the Haile Family Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Creed Fowler, Wyatt Fowler, Jonathan Richards, Dennis “Moose” Varner, Charlie Hood, and Mike Roberson.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Family Hospice.
