Carol (Ramsey) Parrish

March 11, 1938 — May 22, 2025

Union

Carol Ramsey Parrish, age 87, widow of Marion "Bull" Parrish of Union, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 22, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Parrish was born on March 11, 1938, in Chester, SC, and was the daughter of the late Temmer H. Ramsey and the late Dewey L. Ramsey, Sr.

She was a retired educator with the Union County School System, where she devoted her life to helping young children grow and feel loved.  A faithful member of Union Church of God, Mrs. Parrish remained devoted to her church even when she was no longer able to attend—faithfully paying her tithes and staying in touch with the pastor.  She shared the love of the Lord wherever she went.

Mrs. Parrish was known for her deep love for her family and her commitment to staying connected with them.  She was an example to all of what a daughter, sister, mother, grandma, and friend should be.  She also was often known to grow a garden large enough to share with others and poured her heart into her gardening when able.

She is survived by two sisters, Anita Jacobs and Madge Jacobs (husband Butch Jacobs); a daughter, Kathy Parrish; two sons, Lowell Parrish and Chuck Parrish; four granddaughters, Morgan P. Houmann (husband Alex Houmann), Leah P. Spencer (husband Mark Spencer), Emalyn Parrish, and Adalyn Parrish; one grandson, Andrew Parrish (wife Megan Parrish); and one great-grandson, Henry Spencer.

Private Services will be held by the family to honor her life.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
