Carolyn Young Binkley

Mrs. Carolyn Young Binkley, age 80, of 460 E. Georgia St., Woodruff, widow of Alvin K. Binkley, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Binkley was born in Newberry Co., November 23, 1940 a daughter of the late Doris Davis Hogue. She was a homemaker and formerly employed with Milliken Co., Cedar Hill Plant.

Surviving are a daughter, Gina Ballard of Woodruff; two sons, Robin S. Collier of Gastonia, NC and Charles J. Collier of Union; a sister, Jackie Hembree of Gastonia, NC; six grandchildren, Amber White, Jamie Ivey, Robin S. Collier, II, Megan Mathis, Kelsey Ingle, and Julia Ballard; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Binkley was predeceased by daughter, Sheila C. Bogan and a grandson, Curtis V. Collier.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at Whitmire Cemetery conducted by Ms. Teresa Collier. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
