Carolyn Haney

Miss Carolyn Haney, age 87 of 909 Flat Dr., Buffalo, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026 at her home.

Miss Haney was born in Union, February 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Roy Samuel Haney and Sallie King Haney. She was formerly employed with Phillips Hosiery and Conso Products. Miss Haney was a memorial of New Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Juanita Turner of the home; two nieces, Tammie V. Haney of the home and Priscilla Kingsmore of Greenwood; a nephew, Roger Turner and wife Hope of Buffalo; and a sister, Sandra Haney West of Union. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including special nieces Tracy Turner Bevis and Scarlett Sherbert Bevis both of Buffalo; a great niece, Chloe Handy of the home and a great-great nephew R.J. Bobo of Union. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruby H. Vinson and a brother, Frank Haney.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 22, 2026 at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Larry Goins. Burial will follow at Putman Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Nathan Kurtz, R.J. Bobo, Scott Turner, Trey Bevis, Kevin Haney and Jon Sousa.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.
