Carolyn Diane Thomas Edwards Lancaster

Mrs. Carolyn Diane Thomas Edwards Lancaster, age 72, wife of Ellis Lancaster, of 296 Bailey Town Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Lancaster was born May 23, 1947 in Clinton, a daughter of the late Alton Adolphus Thomas and Rosa Lee Knox Thomas. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she had previously been a choir member. Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Christopher Todd Edwards and wife Jessie, Harry Douglas Edwards, Jr., Joshua Shane Edwards, and Ellis Wayne Lancaster all of Union; a daughter, Amanda Campbell and husband David of Union; three sisters, Joetta Edwards and husband Thomas of Union, Loretta Edwards and husband Gene, and Felicia Dawn Ross all of Union; one brother Mark Thomas of Union; fifteen grandchildren, Payton Elizabeth Edwards, Hannah Marie Hill, Brianna Shea Hill, MaKayla Ann Edwards, Tiffany Scott Edwards, Adolphus Scott Edwards, Jr. Cecily Paige Edwards, Amanda Sheryl Lynn Edwards, Harry Douglas Edwards, III, Kymberly Hope Moore, Kristin Bailey Lancaster, Payton Nikole Lancaster, Raelyn Alysa Campbell, and Ryker Vance Campbell; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Adolphus Scott Edwards and a sister, Doris Hicks. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Ross Wilson and Rev. Ricky Dean Lancaster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Lancaster's Nephews. Hospice Care of South Carolina is asked to serve as the honorary escort. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
