Mr. Carrol Wayne Palmer, age 88, of S. Boyce St., Union, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at Union Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Palmer was born in Union, October 12, 1935, a son of the late Broadus Vaughan Palmer and Sara Elizabeth Whitlock Palmer. He was a textile worker having worked at Excelsior Mill and Midway. He was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard and a member of Woodmen of the World. Mr. Palmer attended Lakeside Baptist Church and Philippi Baptist Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Robert Scott.
