Carroll Eugene Moore

Mr. Carroll Eugene Moore, age 88, of Union, husband of Audrey Jo Maye Moore., passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the home.

Mr. Moore was born in Canton, NC, June 19, 1932, the son of the late Walter F. and Connie Hall Moore. He attended Union County Schools and retired from United Merchants Buffalo Plant.  He was a Veteran of the SC National Guard having retired after 20 years as a Staff Sergeant.  Mr. Moore was an Elk, Shriner, and a Mason.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters Vicki Henderson of Roebuck, Patricia Mallette and husband Jay of Virginia Beach, and Carol Crawford and husband Jerry of Union; four grandchildren, Kevin Henderson of Roebuck, Dustin Mallette and wife Kathryn of Chesapeake, VA, Jerry D. "Bubba" Crawford and wife Chastity of Jonesville, and Alisha Davis of Union; seven great-grandchildren, Cruz Crawford, Presley Crawford, McKenleigh Mallette, Marshall Mallette, Jordan Davis, Hunter Davis, and Trenton Davis; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Rose Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Unity United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Mary Nichols and Rev. Dr. Ronald Moore.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Dustin Mallette, Jerry D. Crawford, Sr., Jerry D. Crawford, Jr., Kevin Henderson, Hunter Davis, and Jordan Davis.  The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Sam White, Mickey Cranford, Jameson England, Randy "Chump" Hanvey, Albert and Betty McNeace, Bob and Barbara Holley, Tim and Kathy Varner, and the nurses and staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday Evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
