Catharine (Magner) Dawkins

Ms. Catharine Magner Dawkins, age 60, of Union passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Dawkins was born October 18, 1961, in Fairfax, VA, a daughter of the late James Edward Magner and Pearl Rowland Magner.  She retired from Torrington Co.—Tyger River Plant.

Surviving is a son, Brad Dawkins of Union; a daughter, Sarah Nicole Dawkins of York; three grandchildren, Dacey Paige Sumner of Union, Myra Nicole Lynn of Chester, and Christian Gilmore of Chester; a great-grandson, Colson Riley Belue; three sisters, Dorothy Mackey and husband Roger of Union, Mary Bigham of Camden, and Theresa Magner and wife Lynn of Cayce; and two brothers, James Magner, Jr. and wife Brenda of Union and Charles Thomas Magner of Union.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Amanda Dawkins; a granddaughter, Paisley Sierra Knox, two sisters, Amalda Cody and Ellen Keys.

A celebration of life gathering will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2022, at the home of her brother, Jamie Magner, 141 Autumn Dr., Union.

Those in attendance are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing and wearing mask.
