Chad Stephen Truitt

Mr. Chad Stephen Truitt, age 39, husband of Holly Swofford Truitt of 1901 Mudbridge Rd., Jonesville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Truitt was born in Spartanburg, SC October 15, 1976, a son of Jim Truitt of the home and Sandra Duckett Hinson of Rock Hill. He was employed with Auriga Polymers in Spartanburg and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Chad was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a huge fan of the Florida Gators and loved dirt track racing. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two daughters: Kristina Truitt and Annabeth Truitt both of the home; a brother, Mark Truitt and wife Amy of Jonesville; a grandmother-in-law, Joyce McKinney of Chesnee (Cooley Springs) and a step-father, Doug Hinson of Rock Hill. Chad was predeceased by paternal grandparents, James and Florence Truitt, maternal grandparents, Frank and Lucille Duckett and grandfather-in-law, Max McKinney. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Truitt. Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC. Active pallbearers will be Frank Lancaster, Bennie Philson, Anthony Duckett, Shane Duckett, Richard Duckett, Brad Duckett and Doyle Lawson. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:45 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service. The family is at the home of his brother, Mark and Amy Truitt, 1733 Mudbridge Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
