Charles Aubrey Cabaniss, Jr.

Mr. Charles Aubrey "Chuck" Cabaniss, Jr., age 43, formally of Lockhart, husband of Gina Leigh Deal Cabaniss, passed away suddenly Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home in Bigfork, Montana.

Mr. Cabaniss was born August 26, 1977 in Union, SC, a son of the late Charles "Jimmy" Cabaniss and Beatrice Gregory Cabaniss. He attended Lockhart and Union High Schools and Philippi Baptist church before moving to Montana. He formerly worked with Bay Valve in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Cabaniss was a truly kind, gentle, and loving husband and friend. He spent three years in Hawaii as a diver and then later traveled the country as a valve technician. Chuck loved being in nature and spent his free time hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring our beautiful earth with his beloved wife, Gina. He also enjoyed cooking and wood working.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a step daughter, Baylie Barr and step granddaughter, Daisy Leigh Barr both of Canada; six sisters, Dale Cabaniss of Union; Elaine Bishop and husband Mike of  Fayetteville, NC, Debbie Campbell and husband Buzzy of Myrtle Beach, Gale  Douglas, Phoebe Ann Cabaniss and Cheryl Beard and husband Donnie all of Union; a brother, Bobby Melton and wife Angie of Chester; a "special grandmother", Helen "Cab" Bailey of Union; and several special nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379 conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale.

Visitation will immediately follow the services at the church.

The family are at their respective homes.
