Charles L. Malpass

Mr. Charles Lawrence Malpass, age 79, of 158 Haney Rd., Buffalo, widower of Bebe Lawson Malpass, passed away, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his home. Mr. Malpass was born in Union Co., July 22, 1936, a son of the late Charles Franklin Malpass and Ruby Epps Malpass. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a former member of the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Malpass was a member of the former Faith Chapel Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Donnie Mac Malpass and Ricky Lynn Malpass both of Buffalo; a daughter-in-law, Sherree P. Malpass of the home; three sisters, Sally Joe Amiker, Rosey Banister, and Patricia Spires all of Orangeburg; two brothers, John Wayne Malpass of NC and David Malpass of Orangeburg; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Malpass was predeceased by a son, Danny Ray Malpass and a sister, Shirley Van Buren. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 3 2015 at Putman Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. Rick Henderson. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services. Memorials may be made to Putman Baptist Church, 3692 Buffalo West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, SC 29321. The family will be at the home, 158 Haney Rd., Buffalo.
