Charles "Bobby" William Clayton, Sr.

Mr. Charles William "Bobby" Clayton, Sr., age 81, of Jonesville, South Carolina, passed away on January 22, 2025.  He was born May 2, 1943, in Woodruff, to the late Lester Lee Clayton and Helen Ford Clayton.  "Bobby" as he was affectionately known by his friends, was self-employed as a contractor for many years.  He was a lifetime member of Lockhart Masonic Lodge #244.

Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Porter Clayton of the home; two sons, Charles Clayton (Kim), Wayne Clayton (Sandy) and a daughter, Tammy Vaughan (Johnny).  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three on the way.  He is also survived by a brother, Sam Clayton.

Mr. Clayton was predeceased by four siblings Pauline Heffner, Lewis Clayton, Mary "Tootie" Walker, and Earleen Clayton.  He was also predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Harper Riddle.

Private graveside services will be held.

A visitation will be held, Friday, January 24, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM in the Jonesville Baptist Church Family Life Center.
