Mrs. Christine Maness Lambert, age 81, of 683 Rice Avenue Ext., Apt 1G, Union, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lambert was the widow of William "Bill" Lambert. Mrs. Lambert was born in Valley Falls, SC Augusgt 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Nat Maness and Glennie Justice Maness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Burnett and husband James of Greenwood and Gigi Burgess and husband Mike of Jonesville; five grandchildren: Mitchell Horton of the home, Josh Horton of Greensboro, NC, Chris Burgess and wife Jennifer of Union, Ray Burgess and wife Kelly of Jonesville and Melissa Langley of Greenwood; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Fannie Bright of Union; two brothers: James Maness of Union and Charlie Bill Maness and wife Frances of Myrtle Beach; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Lila Price of Union. Mrs. Lambert was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Lambert; a grandson, Jim Burnett; a sister-in-law, Pat Maness and a brother-in-law, Albert Bright. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Burgess. Burial will be in Gilead Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Oakbrook Community Church, 520 Alman Street, Jonesville, SC 29353. The family is at the home of her daughter, Gigi and Mike Burgess, 176 Sprouse Rd., Jonesville.
