Clarence Gerald “Jerry” Woodsby

August 15, 2016 Mr. Clarence Gerald "Jerry" Woodsby, age 74, of 128 Caropine Dr., Myrtle Beach, widower of Jennie Jenkins Woodsby, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his home. Mr. Woodsby was born in Union on August 5, 1942 a son of the late Clarence Woodsby and Mary Carter Woodsby. He was a graduate of Union High School and attended the University of South Carolina. Mr. Woodsby was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church Lockhart and Scout Master of Lockhart Troop #45. Surviving are one daughter, Wendy Woodsby of Spartanburg; three sons, Casey Woodsby of Myrtle Beach, Clary Woodsby of Union, and Jadus Woodsby of Myrtle Beach; two granddaughters, Cherie and Candice Woodsby both of Union; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Lockhart Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Chris Patrick, David Rodgers, Jeffrey Horne, Jason Weaver, Mark Stein, and Wesley Jenkins. Memorials may be made to Union County Relay for Life, Attn: Beth Lancaster, 279 Deepwater Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, Wanda Stein, 402 Mill St., Lockhart, SC 29364.
