Clyde Wayne Bogan

Mr. Clyde Wayne Bogan, age 78, husband of Brenda Smith Morris Bogan, of 1745 Brown's Creek Church Rd, Union, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Bogan was born in Union on October 2, 1946, a son of  the late Clyde Bogan and Janie Lancaster Bogan. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and had retired from Duke Energy as a Construction Supervisor. Mr. Bogan was a member of Bogansville Methodist Church and regularly attended Trinity Baptist Church. He had served in the SC National Guard, Jonesville Unit, was a member of the Prudence Masonic Lodge 139 of Jonesville and was a Shriner. Mr. Bogan loved Clemson football, watching Westerns, dirt track races, the beach, his friends at Ocean Lakes Campground and most of all loved watching his grandsons play baseball.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 35 years, Brenda, are sons, Clyde Wayne Bogan, Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Rock Hill, Robert O. Bogan and his wife, Allison, of Central, daughters, Kim Lawson and her husband, Scott, and Kelly Small and her husband, Michael, all of Union. He is also survived by grandsons, John David Brooks, Jakob Lawson, Jordan Lawson, Kannon Small, Kaleb Small, Mason Small, granddaughters, Tonie Bogan and Taylor Ann Bogan, a brother, Brent Lancaster Bogan of Jonesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Neil Keisler. Burial with Masonic Rites follow in the Bogansville Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Kannon Small, Kaleb Small, Mason Small, Jakob Lawson, Jordan Lawson and Trad Robinson. The Palmetto House Breakfast group has been asked to sit as Honorary Pallbearers.
