Clyde Victor Vinson

May 27, 2019 Mr. Clyde Victor Vinson, age 83, husband of Connie Faye Vinson of Parks Farm Rd., Jonesville, passed away at his home on May 27, 2019 surrounded by his family. Mr. Vinson was born April 19, 1936 in Jonesville a son of the late Marion C. Vinson and Alma Ivey Vinson. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and served in the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Vinson retired from Milliken & Company after over 40 years. He was an avid gardener and loved to grow flowers and plants. At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Gilead Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member and served the Lord on various committees until his failing health. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Bryan N. Vinson and wife Caron and Amy Lundeen and husband Joe all of Jonesville; grandchildren, Jordan Addington and husband Justin of Jonesville, David Vinson and wife Hannah of Union, and Josh Plunkett of Spartanburg; and a great-granddaughter, Josie Lein Vinson of Union. He was predeceased by two sisters, Myrtle V. Williams and Lucille V. Sizemore. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Eddie Saxon. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon prior to the services at the church. The family would like to thank all who supported and prayed for them during Clyde's illness. Also, a special thank you to Hospice care of South Carolina and his caregivers, Jamie Duncan, Charlene Gibson, Jolen Brannon, Ginger McKnight, his nurse Richard Miller, Sherrie Seaman and Chaplin Chad Bowen.
