Cora (Nichols) Bentley

Mrs. Cora Nichols Bentley, age 78, wife of Robert Dean Bentley of 224 Adams Lake Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Bentley was born in Chester, September 12, 1941, a daughter of the late Newton Gaston Nichols and Laura Dunlap Nichols. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School and a member of Lockhart Presbyterian Church.  Mrs. Bentley was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Lori Ann Bentley Brannon and husband Wayne and Deanna Bentley Burns and husband Randall all of Union; a son, Newton Russell Bentley and wife Donna of Union; three grandchildren, Carrie Ann Cochran and husband Andy of Enoree, Ollie Virginia Burns of Haines City, FL and Paigan Caroline Bentley of Union; two great-grandsons, Ben Sanders of Florida and Nolan Sanders of Enoree. Mrs. Bentley was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony Brannon, five brothers and three sisters.

The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to the staff and nurses of Crescent Hospice and Kindred Home Health Care for their care of Mrs. Bentley during her illness.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Sam Baine and Rev. Brian Redding. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.
