Corrie Gladys Hamrick Moss

Mrs. Corrie Gladys Hamrick Moss, age 85 of 1310 W. Main St., Union widow of Frank Nathan Moss passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Moss was born in Dorchester, SC November 11, 1931 a daughter of the late Lewis Carl Hamrick and Dorotha Simmons Hamrick. She was retired from Oakmont Nursing Home and had previously worked at Fun Time Daycare and Bumble Bee Daycare. Mrs. Moss was a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church where she served on the Lord's Supper Committee, a Prayer Warrior, and worked with the Children of the Church. Surviving are one daughter, Leslie Belue of Union; two sons, Bobby Frank Moss and wife Brenda and Lewis Carl Moss all of Union; one brother Charles Cummings and wife Carolyn of Bryon, GA; three grandchildren, Miranda Chavez of St. Matthews, Nicholas Jordan Moss and Christopher Moss and wife Jasmine all of Union; great-grandchildren, Erik, Logan and Camden Chavez all of St. Matthews and Kaitlyn, Blake, Christopher, Jr., and Owen all of Union; a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Frances Porter, Bertie McElveen, Jane Leonhardt, and Shula Cummings. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Aulbrey Calvert. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Proctor, Tony Moss, Scottie Moss, Trent Riddle, Larry Moss, and Christopher Moss. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379.
