Cynthia Kate (Scott) Horne

Mrs. Cynthia Kate Scott Horne, age 77, of 4118 Lockhart Hwy., Union, widower of Steve Horne, passed away, Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Horne was born August 19, 1947, a daughter of Lois Mull Scott of Union and the late Boyd Ray Scott.  She was a graduate of Union High School.  Mrs. Horne was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter, Sherri Williams and husband Robert of Buffalo; a son, Scott Horne and wife Jean of Union; a sister, Harriett S. Smith and husband Todd of Union; a brother, Kenneth Scott and wife Judy of Union; a brother-in-law, Bobby Horne of Union; seven grandchildren, Noah McCutcheon, Jonah McCutcheon and wife Carllee, David Judy, Matthew Judy, Tiffany Williams and husband Mark, Donnie Williams and wife Jennifer and Justin Williams; a number of great-grandchildren; one special niece, Katie Ford and husband Kyle; and two special nephews, Logan Betenbaugh and Kylyn Ford.  She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Sara Rogers; a sister, Betty Ray Horne; and a brother, Perry Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Sherri Williams and husband Robert, 152 Dana Tara Lane, Buffalo, SC 29321.
