Daisy D. Kinney

Mrs. Daisy Davis Kinney, age 93, wife of Richard H. Kinney, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center. Mrs. Kinney was born in Buffalo, October 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Hardie Lee Davis and Bertha Pearl Hipps Davis. During their 68 year marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kinney served as missionaries for 18 years with the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention having traveled to Switzerland, Austria and the Middle East. Mr. Kinney was an auditor for the Missions Board and Mrs. Kinney served as his secretary. The Kinneys are members of the First Baptist Church of Laurens. urviving in addition to her husband are a sister, Catherine D. Bradford of Columbia, several nieces and nephews and many friends at the Martha Franks Center. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2015 at Union Memorials Gardens conducted by Rev. Rick Letson and Rev. Russell Dean. A memorial service will also be held at 2:00 PM Monday at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens. Visitation will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0767.
