Daniel Conway Burnett

Mr. Daniel Conway Burnett, age 77, of 155 Stevens Rd., Buffalo, husband of Cindy Haney Burnett, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Mr. Burnett was born in Union, May 2, 1947, the son of the late Roy Conway Burnett and Electa Johnson Burnett. He was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church.  Mr. Burnett retired after working at Timken Company in Clinton for 40 years.  He served in the United State Air force and held the rank of sergeant. While serving he was an airplane mechanic and received an expert marksmanship award. He also was a member of Post 87, where he had served as post commander and served as commissioner on Union County Airport.

Mr. Burnett was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister-in-law, Rosa Burnett of Prosperity; a special great niece, Maddy Blayke Anderson, "girlfriend"; sister-in-law, Lawayne Anderson; brother-in-law, Mike Anderson; five nieces, Wanda Parker, Donna Hill, Debbie Helms, Jerry Dalhke, and Kathy Stone; four nephews, Michael Hawkins, Jeff Hawkins, Jared Anderson and Jace Anderson. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jerry Burnett and James Burnett.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Ben Rumph. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Active Pallbearers will be Jared Anderson, Jace Anderson, Reid Stone, Ryan Dalhke, JJ Hanna and Jeremy Hill.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Union County Airport Commission Board.

Visitation will be held 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The family will be at the home, 155 Stevens Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321.
