Daniel Weathers

Mr. Daniel "Danny" Elliott Weathers, age 63, of 842 Sardis Road, Union, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Mr. Weathers was born in Aiken, June 27, 1956, a son of the late Thomas Weathers and Francenia "Teenie" Miller Weathers. He was a 1974 graduate of Summerville High School and was a longtime employee of the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Mr. Weathers was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville. Surviving are daughters; Caitlin Smith and husband, Tim, of Mauldin, Meagan Weathers of Conway, two sons; Daniel Weathers and wife, Jennifer, of Navarre, Florida, Dustin Weathers and wife, Dana, of Summerville, two sisters; Cynthia Weathers - Wofford and husband, Lorn, Elizabeth Weathers Page and Penny Thomas all of Union; one brother, Michael Weathers and wife, Teala, of Boiling Springs; and Grandchildren; Adyson and Gage Weathers, Camden and Tatum Smith, Jackson Weathers, Kerrigan Weathers, and Taylor Herndon, Alec Weathers, former wife, Theresa Weathers Bognar, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Weathers was predeceased by one brother, Tommy C. Weathers and nephew, Ira Benjamin Collier, III. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at S. R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Shawn Rinehart. Visitation will be held after the service. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Crumley, Dr. Van Bakel and the transplant team and caregivers of MUSC along with the Emergency Room Team at Union Medical Center for their dedicated care and compassion over the last several years.
