Danny “Carroll” Austin

December 29, 2017 Mr. Danny "Carroll" Austin, age 69 of 101 North Boyce Street, Union, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Austin was born in Union, SC, the husband of Barbara Alexander Austin for fifty years and the son of the late Norman and Zena Mae Austin Estes. He was a retired paramedic with the Union County EMS. Mr. Austin loved his family, friends and was a member of Greater Union Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters and a son: Renea Wood, Rhonda Gregory, Kayla Gregory and Jason Austin; a sister, Diane Beard; a brother, Robert Austin; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Harold Austin and a sister, Delitha Austin. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Kindred Hospice of Spartanburg, SC and also to Donna Greer and his CNA Amber Jennings for their care and comfort of Mr. Austin during his illness. The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Greater Union Church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the church following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Christian Day School, 331 Meansville Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 101 North Boyce, Street, Union.
