Danny Lee Howell

March 23, 2018 Mr. Danny Lee Howell, age 64, husband of Vicki D. Vanderford Howell of 133 Pine Lane, Union, went to his heavenly Father after an extended illness. Mr. Howell was born January 15, 1954, a son of Maggie Trammell Howell of Union and the late O'Neal Howell. He retired from Cone Mill Carlisle Finishing and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a son, Casey Watkins and wife Monica; a sister, Maxine Holcombe; five brothers: Terry Howell and wife Stephanie, Timmy Howell, Dennis "Hookman" Howell, Gerald Howell and wife Marie all of Union and Stan Howell and wife Pam of Lancaster; two grandsons: Andrew Inman and Cohen Watkins both of Union and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Howell was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Howell and a brother, Ronnie Howell. The family would like to express their gratitude to the physicians, nurses and staff of the Oncology Unit at Gibbs Cancer Center for their care of Mr. Howell during his illness. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Ross Wilson. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 763 Neal Shoals Rd., Union, SC 29379 or to the Health Care Fund for Dennis Howell, % Arthur State Bank, Union, SC. The family is at the home of his mother, 612 W. Main Street, Union.
