Darlene Price Black

December 5, 2018 Mrs. Darlene Price Black, age 61, of 175 Poplar Rd., Jonesville, widow of David P. Black, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Black was born August 4, 1957 in Union, a daughter of the late Robert E. Lee Price, Jr. and Martha Reid Price. She was a 1975 graduate of Union High School and received her nursing degree from USC-Spartanburg. Mrs. Black was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Union County Civitan Club. She was devoted to her family as a sister, mother, and grandmother and was lovingly known as Nena to AJ and many other family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Black-Kerr of Union; a grandson, A.J. Kerr of Spartanburg; three brothers, Robin Price of Union, Chris Price of Union, and Johnny Price of Columbia; a half-sister, Melissa Brown of Florida; a half-brother, Ray Price of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Kenny Price. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughn, Mr. Sam White, and Rev. Randy Smith. Burial will follow at Black-Haile-Webber Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family is at the home, 175 Poplar Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
