Darlene Kirby Cheatham

September 4, 2019 Mrs. Darlene Kirby Cheatham, age 58, of 451 Bob Little Rd., Union, widow of Larry Cheatham, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mrs. Cheatham was born March 19, 1961 in Union, a daughter of the late William Woodrow Kirby, Sr. and Maggie Nelson Kirby. She is employed with Inman Mills-Enoree Plant. Mrs. Cheatham was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are three step-daughters, Cindy Thompson and husband Rick, Stacy Betenbaugh, and Vanessa Gregory and husband Michael all of Union; a sister, Lisa Teague of Lexington, NC; three brothers, Robert Kirby of Union, Joe Kirby of Sumter and Jerry Kirby of Nebraska; ten step-grandchildren, MaKayla Thompson, Gavin Thompson, Ciara Betenbaugh, Skylar Betenbaugh, Cile Betenbaugh, Cory Betenbaugh, Brittany Whitmire, Brook Whitmire, John Whitmire, and Mikey Gregory; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Annette and PeeWee Humphries, Dennis Graham, Jack and Judy Penvose, and Kelly and Mike Baldwin and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cheatham was predeceased by two brothers, William W. Kirby, Jr. and James Ronald "Jimmy" Kirby. Gathering of friends will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the S.R.
