Darlene Spencer

Ms. Darlene Spencer, age 60, of South Carolina, passed away, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Ms. Spencer was born November 25, 1965, in Greenville, a daughter of the late Essel James Pennington and Margaret Ann Parker and her husband the late J.W. Parker. She was a 1985 graduate of Gaffney High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Lacey Spencer Suddeth and husband Tray of Inman and Olivia Miller and husband Brandon of Roebuck; two sons, Jordan Spencer and Elias Pennington both of Gaffney; a step-daughter, Nicole Millwood; five sisters, Lucy Ruff and husband Jeff, Linda Laban and husband Wayne, Kathy Childers and husband Otis, and Wanda Jones all of Gaffney and Janet Parker of New Jersey; three brothers, Danny Parker and wife Susan of Gaffney, Brian Parker and wife Carolyn of Cowpens, and Essel Pennington and Lynn of Greer; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Greenpoint Baptist Church, 1390 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, SC 29349, conducted by the Rev. David Lancaster.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services.

The family is at their respective homes.
