Darrell Dean Fowler

Mr. Darrell Dean Fowler, age 58, husband of Karen Marvin Fowler of 3296 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Fowler was born in Union, SC December 10, 1956, the only son of C. O'Dean Fowler and Ruby Heatherly Fowler of Union. He was a graduate of Union High School and received his Associates Degree in Auto Mechanics from Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Fowler worked at BMW in Greer. He was an active member of Buffalo United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Henry Thomas Sunday School Class, the Men's Club, a leader of MYF and also served on the Church Administrative Board. Mr. Fowler was also a member of Union County Motor Sports Association and a Boy Scout Leader. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two loving daughters: Laura Watson and husband Trenton of Ballwin, MO and Beth Thompson and husband Josh of Spartanburg; two grandsons: Caleb Thompson and Simon Watson; two brothers-in-law: Danny Marvin and wife Brenda of Buffalo and Bruce Marvin and wife Linda of Manhattan, KS; a niece, Katie Marvin and two nephews: Wayne Marvin and Erik Marvin. Mr. Fowler was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Johnny Marvin. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Ron Towery. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Sammy Smith, Kevin Morrow, Danny Sprouse, Chuck Malone, Curtis Gregory, Danny Marvin, Kenny Moore and Erik Marvin. Members of the Union County Motor Sports Association and members of the Henry Thomas Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM Saturday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Buffalo United Methodist Church, P.O.
