David F. Baldwin, Sr.

Mr. David Francis Baldwin, Sr., age 81, of Union SC passed away on Monday January 2, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Elisa Novarro Baldwin.

Mr. Baldwin was born December 18, 1941 to the late John William and Adell Vinson Baldwin of Union. After his military service he attended Limestone College for 2 years. Mr. Baldwin retired from the US Army in 1980, where he served in the Military Police. After his military service he began a career with SC Department of Correction where he retired after 20 years.

In addition to his wife are daughters Tammy Lawson of Union and Sherrie Hamacher and husband Joseph of Simpsonville. He is also survived by a son David Baldwin, Jr. and wife Virginia of Union. Surviving is a sister, Linda Gayle White and a brother, John Wayne Baldwin and wife Peggy. David's surviving grandchildren are Crystal Mills, April Lawson, Kayla Hamacher, James Dillion Williamson, Anna Elisa Lawson, Gabriel David Lawson, Lea Marie Baldwin, Savannah Elise Baldwin, Jarret Michael Williams, Joseph M Hamacher, and George Russell Nelson. He also survived by 4 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family are at their respective homes.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Sam Baine.
