David R. Henderson

Mr. David Rodney Henderson, age 71, husband of Jackie Sherbert Henderson of 456 Bogan Rd., Jonesville, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Henderson was born in Union, July 17, 1950, a son of the late Virgil and Dot Gowan Henderson. He was a 1968 graduate of Union High School and retired from AT&T after 35 years. Mr. Henderson was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served in the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Men's Breakfast Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years is a daughter Emily Jane Gibson and husband Michael; a brother, Wayne Henderson and wife June; an uncle, Jimmy Gowan and wife Dianne; three grandchildren, Grayson David McAbee, Caroline Elizabeth Gibson and Ian Gibson; and four nieces, Mica Duncan and husband Trip, Mindy Tyler and husband Tyler, Misty Paschal, wife of the late Monty Paschal, and Missy Gentry and husband Lee; great nieces and nephews, Jacob Holt, Tanner Duncan, Addie Duncan, Camryn Tyler, Tayley Tyler, Mason Henderson, Hannah Paschal, and Austin Paschal.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Bogansville United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Wally Culp and Rev. Angelia Price. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Sherbert, Mason Henderson, Conner Tyler, Jacob Holt, Tanner Duncan and Adam Maness. Members of the Men's Breakfast Club and AT&T employees are asked to sit in a group.
