David E. Holcombe

Mr. David Eugene Holcombe, age 50 husband of Donna West Holcombe of 113 Hunter’s Run Rd., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Mr. Holcombe was born in Spartanburg, August 19, 1975 a son of Rev. Walter Holcombe and wife Marilyn and the late Beth Ann Reynolds Holcombe. He was a graduate of Union High School and was employed as a corrections officer with the SC Dept. of Correction, Tyger River Facility. Mr. Holcombe attended Hebron Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Britney Holcombe and a son, Dylan Holcombe and wife Elizabeth all of Union; sister, Sarah Barber and husband Shane of Union; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Reynolds and a step sister, Lisa Inman Lepord and husband Donnie. Mr. Holcombe is also survived by aunts and uncles, John and Terri Moore, Amos and Debra Boulware and Karen Moore; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wolfe and husband Paul; a step nephews, Michael Foster, III and Brayden Mullins, a step niece, Hailey Mullins, and nephews Chris Harris, and Adam Harris. He was predeceased by a son, Jeremy Christopher Holcombe; his grandparents, Gene Reynolds, Homer and Joyce West, John Wright and Mary Holcombe and a sister-in-law, Brenda Buchanan.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Alex Calhoun. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at the home of his father and step mother, Rev. Walter and Marilyn Holcombe, 828 Meansville Rd., Union, SC 29379.
