Debra Lynn Corder

Debra Lynn Corder, "Debbie", age 64, died March 21st, 2021 in the care of Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.  Her passing comes after her decline in health over recent weeks.

Debbie was born in Newberry County, SC on September 17th, 1956.  She is survived by her son of the home, Adam Corder, partner for over 35 years, Tommy Summers, loving sister and caretaker, Ellen Burkhalter, and many loving family members and friends.  Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Boyce Corder.

Debbie was raised with her family in Whitmire, SC where she attended Whitmire Schools and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Her time was spent mostly with those she loves the most, her family and life long partner, Tommy.  The pair shared a special love that was admired by all that knew Debbie.

Debbie will be remembered for her kind soul that was always willing to help anyone in need.  Debbie helped her sister Ellen daily and will be remembered as a loving person that always referred to Ellen as "sister".  Debbie and her son, Adam, shared a special bond that will live on through him each day.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
