Debra Kay (Painter) Petty

Mrs. Debra Kay Painter Petty, age 65, wife of Roger Dale Petty, of 162 Georgia Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Petty was born May 27, 1956, in Union, a daughter of the late Georgia Painter, Sr. and Victoria Adamo Painter.  She worked with family at Palmetto Restaurant in Union.  Mrs. Petty was a member of Greater Union Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Angela Ivey and husband Heath of Bluffton; two sons, Tracy Petty and wife Amy of Buffalo and Chris Petty and wife Crystal of Gaffney; three sisters, Rebecca P. Moss, Carol P. Murphy, and Georgia P. Murphy all of Union; a brother, Anthony Painter of Union; seven grandchildren, Justin Hart and wife Brittaney, Nicholas Hart, Christian Petty, Alyssa Bland and husband Avery, Hunter Petty, Alyson Petty, and Bryson Ivey; and two great-granddaughters, Analeigh Hart and Paisleigh Hart.  She was predeceased by one brother, George "Bubba" Painter, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Greater Union Church conducted by the Rev. Roger Estes.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Hart, Nicholas Hart, Matthew Crocker, Andrew Crocker, Mark Spencer, Isiah Gregory, and T.J. Gregory.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
