Mrs. Delores Belue Clayton, age 83, wife of Sam Clayton of 3955 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Clayton was born in Union, April 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Harold Dean Belue and Wynona Gault Belue. She retired from Milliken and Co. as a lab technician after 40 years. Mrs. Clayton was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jeff Clayton and wife Dawn and Kenny Clayton; a sister, Blanche Blackston and husband Doug; three brothers, Drexel Belue and wife Carolyn, Johnny Belue and wife Carolyn and Pete Belue and wife Jean; five grandchildren, Michael Clayton, Jennifer Beehner, Garrett Clayton, Morgan Clayton Robertson, and Trey Smith; six great grandchildren. Mrs. Clayton was predeceased by a sister, Anna Belle Belue Clayton and a predeceased brother-in-law, Lewis Clayton.
The family wish to express their gratitude to the other family members, especially Blanche Blackston, and to Agape Hospice for the care and support shown to them during Mrs. Clayton's illness.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Steve Lemons. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
