Dennis Leroy "Frosty" Frost

Mr. Dennis Leroy "Frosty" Frost, age 68, husband of Leesa Matthews Frost, of 623 Philippi Church Rd., Union, passed away, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Frost was born October 14, 1951 in Union, a son of the late Leroy "Hank" Frost and Meynelle Eaves Jennings. He was formerly employed with the Union Co. School District and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Frost has served for 25 years as Chief of the Philippi Volunteer Fire Dept. and had previously served with the Jonesville Fire Dept. for a total of 45 years as a fireman and First Responder. Mr. Frost is the State President and one of the charter members of the Southern Legends Motorcycle Club. He was a musician who had played with several local bands over the years. He loved to bass fish, drag race and ride motorcycles.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Tina Frost of Union, Michelle Easler and husband Corbin of Union and Melissa Risher and husband David of Piedmont; a son, Brian Hill and friend Brandee of Union; three sisters, Rebecca Gault, Delores Neal and husband Tim, and Louise Frost all of Union; a brother, Kenneth Jennings and wife Lisa of Union; eleven grandchildren, Farrah Garner, Aubrey Garner, Madison Frost, Jonathan Frost, Taylor Risher, Hannah Hill, Brianna Hill, Mason Smith, Colt Hill, Ruby Hill, and Samantha Ryckeley; two great-grandchildren, Ezra and Nevaeh; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends.  He was predeceased by a nephew, Troy Weaver and a brother-in-law, Doyle Gault.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Randy Burgess.  Burial with Firemen Honors will be held at Flat Rock Cemetery.

The Union Co. Firefighters Association Honor Guard will serve as the active pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Southern Legends Motorcycle Group.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nurses and Staff of Crescent Hospice, especially Nereyda Valencia and Emma Lawing.
