Dennis Dale Willard, Jr.

Mr. Dennis Dale Willard, Jr. age 38, of 3530 Furman Fendley Hwy., Jonesville, husband of Ivey Carter Willard gained his wings, Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Dale was born September 1, 1987, in Spartanburg, a son of Tammy Rogers Willard and the late Dennis Dale Willard, Sr. He was a member of UCHS graduating class of 2005. Dale was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Buffalo and had worked as a maintenance technician. His last job was with O’Reily Auto Parts. Dale loved fishing and cars, particularly old cars.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Ivey, and his mother, Tammy are sons, Dennis Dale “Bud” Willard III, and Carter Wayne Willard, both of the home. Dale also leaves behind, a brother, Derek Dean Willard and his fiancé, Kaylin, his paternal grandmother, Hassie Vaughan and her husband, Jim, aunts, Patty Sullivan, and Joyce Lawson, an uncle, David Rogers, his stepmother, Mary Riddle, his mother-in-law, Kelly Carmichael, a sister-in-law, Stephanie Burns, his grandmother-in-law, Phyllis Burns and several cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Arthur “Bud” Willard, his maternal grand parents, Elbert and Willie Rogers and aunts, Linda Vinson and Rhonda Caughman.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 8,2026 at New Hope Baptist Church,308 Linersville Rd., Buffalo, conducted by Pastor Larry Goins, Pastor Johnny Burgess, and Pastor Johnny Osborne. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service.

The family has asked that the following close friends sit together during the service, Josh Stevens, Cole Rector, Hagan Blackwell, Hunter Blackwell, David Kingsmore, Harold Bobo, and Nickolas Bobo. Dale was loved by many friends!

The family wants to express their special appreciation for the care that the Spartanburg Regional Hospice provided to Dale.
