Dereck E. Greene

Mr. Dereck Eugene Greene, age 46 of 310 Bates Ave., Union, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025.

Dereck was born in Union, May 5, 1979, a son of Lesa Glymph Hayes of St. Simons Island, GA and Ronnie E. Greene of Union. He attended Union High School and was employed with Allied Industries.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father are a daughter, Taylor Greene and a son, Camden Greene both of Buffalo; a grandchild, Mason Johnson; three sisters, Cassie Greene and Karlee Greene both of Union and Brittany Taylor of St. Simons Island, GA; a brother, Bryan Greene of Union; his paternal grandmother, Jackie Greene of Union; an aunt, Vicky Sherbert; two uncles, Terry Greene and Alan Glymph and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mack and Norma Glymph and his paternal grandfather, Donnie Greene.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Lakeside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be  Zavier Whitmore, Dylan Millwood, Kensley Adams, Michael Adams, Chad Adams, and Jake McNeace.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home, 310 Bates Ave., Union.
