Dewey Eugene Gossett

June 16, 2018 Mr. Dewey Eugene Gossett, age 74 of 413 Worthy Street, Jonesville, SC., widower of Shirley Simmons Gossett passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home. Mr. Gossett was born May 29, 1944 in Union, a son of the late Nathaniel L. and Ethel S. Gossett. He worked manufacturing auto parts. Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Ann Parris and husband Robert Wayne of Campbello; two sons, Joseph Philip Gossett of Wellford and David Jonathan Gossett of Pacolet; two brothers, Ralph Gossett and wife Lola of Wellford and Gerald Gossett and wife Eunice of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. Gossett was predeceased by a brother, Dewey L. Gossett and three sisters, Margaret Sumner and Mary "Sis" Gossett. Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Bill Pickel. The family will receive friends 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of his son, David J. Gossett, 169 Country side drive, Pacolet, SC 29372 and his daughter, Sarah Parris, 240 Sawmill Road, Campobello, SC
