Diane F. Thomas

February 5, 2017 Mrs. Diane Fowler Thomas age 70, of 296 Meansville Rd., passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was born in Union, October 31, 1946, a daughter of the late Thomas Gilman Fowler and Callie Ruth Brown Fowler. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from the S.C. Dept. of Corrections. Mrs. Thomas was formerly employed with Whitten Center in Clinton and attended Hillside Baptist Church and Covenant Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making jewelry. Surviving are a daughter, Scarlett Youngblood Alexander and friend Roger Hill and his daughter, Katie Hill all of Union; a sister, Bonnie Fowler Adams of Moore; a brother, Graham Gault of Union; a grandson, Timothy Logan Alexander and wife Shelby; a great-granddaughter, Ansley Reed Clayton and another great-granddaughter expected in March. She is also survived by a niece Crystal Adams Garner and husband Kenny of Greer; two nephews, Kenneth Ray Adams, II and wife Miranda of Cowpens and Graham Gault, Jr. of Union; several great-nieces and nephew and very dear friends, Evelyn Ford and her family. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dwayne Reuter and Rev. Randy Smith.
