Dianne Mae Braxton Brooks went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Friday morning, October 16, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep.

Dianne was preceded in death by her mother Betty Zimmerman Braxton, her father L. A. Braxton (Ollie), her bubba James Allen Braxton, and her sister Cathy Ann Braxton Dean.

She is survived by her loving son, Jason Allen Brooks (JJ) and wife Holly of Spartanburg; her two granddaughters Jazmine Brooks and Alexus Brooks, her nieces Renae Dean, Alison Burgess, and Tiffany McVey.

Dianne was known by many names: Teapot, Po Po, Di Di, and Nah Nah. Dianne was described by many as the sweetest little lady. But she had you fooled. Under that tiny frame and those deep blue eyes was a fierce, feisty, charismatic woman. She loved her family with a big heart, gave warm hugs, and would give all to anyone who needed it. Her strength, kindness, and beautiful spirit were special. She will be greatly missed and loved forever.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Holcombe Funeral Home, 310 W South St, Union, SC 29379, with burial to follow at Union Memorial Gardens, 1720 Whitmire Hwy, Union. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
