Dianne (Byrd) Hendricks

Mrs. Dianne Byrd Hendricks, age 78, wife of Jimmy Hendricks, of 212 Spruce Street, Union, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 16, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Hendricks was born August 29, 1946, in Union, a daughter of the late William and Faye Tucker Byrd.  She was a 1964 graduate of Union High School.  Mrs. Hendricks was the Secretary and Office Manager for over 50 years for Dr. Paul K. Switzer, Jr. and later worked for the Switzer Family as Office Manager of Piedmont Physic Gardens.  She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 29 years are a son, Robin Williams of Union; four daughters, Angie Fisher and husband Barry of Gaffney, Allyson Williams of the home, Stephanie Bell of Winter Haven, FL and Melanie Weber of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Walter Steve Byrd of Union;  two granddaughters, Jessica Ramsey and Jayna Bell; a great-grandson, Kade Campbell; and a special aunt and friend, Linda Tucker of Union.  She was predeceased by an infant son, Dalton Lewis Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Aubrey Calvert.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Billy McAbee, Ben Ivey, Wes F. Ramsey, Kade Campbell, Garrett Butler, and Brian Cottrell.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

Memorials may be made to Mornignside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379.
