Mattie Dianne Reynolds "Fly Mama", 71, of Union, SC, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 8, 2019, surrounded by those she loved. Born January 2, 1948, in Abbeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Nelson "Jack" and Mattie Lou (Tollison) McClain. For Dianne, family and friends were everything. Having both a heart of gold and a beautiful soul, she nourished those around her with unconditional love, support, and selflessness, leaving a tremendous impact on the lives of those who were lucky enough to know and be loved by her. Comfort can be taken in knowing that not only is she in God's presence, but she has also been reunited with her mother and father whom she loved dearly. "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle, you."1 Peter 5:10 She will forever be cherished and remembered by her husband of 25 years, Lonnie Reynolds; brother Jimmy (Jerry) McClain of Ware Shoals, SC; children Susan Guilmett (David) Smith and Brian Guilmett, both of Union, SC; Sister-in-Laws Lora Reynolds of Pacolet, SC and Lynn Thornton of Inman, SC; grandchildren Cody Williams, Hannah Williams, and Halie (Alex) Avendano of Spartanburg, SC; great grandchildren Allie Ledford of Battle Creek, MI, Kaylee Chin-Loy, Gabriel Avendano, and Aria Mallet of Spartanburg, SC; very special nieces and nephew Kyleigh Lamb, Khloe Lamb, and Kylen Morgan of Pacolet, SC; special friends Chris Hall of Spartanburg, SC and Alice Sorrells of Union, SC; along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
