Dimitris John Bardis

Mr. Dimitris John Bardis, age 80 of 1300 S. Pinckney St., Union, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Bardis was born in Spetses, Greece, December 20, 1939, a son of the late Demitri and Panayiota Karafotia Bardis. Mr. Bardis was an engineer on cargo ships while living in Greece. He moved to the United States in 1975 and joined his brother, Christos in the restaurant business in California and South Carolina. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. Mr. Bardis was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Surviving are a niece, Dianna Bardis of Spartanburg; a nephew, Nick Bardis of Union; his sister-in-law, Carla Bardis of Union, and many relatives in Spetses, Greece. He was predeceased by his brother, Christos Bardis and a nephew John Bardis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Father George Nayfa.

The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.
