Don Ray Vaughan, Sr.

Mr. Don Ray Vaughan, Sr., age 84 of 107 Davis Street, Union, husband of Frances Bailey Vaughan went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, June 7, 1939, a son of the late Howard and Grace Cudd Vaughan. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church and retired from Cedar Hill Plant-Milliken, however he worked at most of the Milliken plants in Union. Don was a sports enthusiast, he especially enjoyed playing golf as long as his health permitted. He was a great supporter of Carolina Gamecock sports.

Surviving in addition to his Loving wife are their children, Kathy Revis, Lora Ann Vaughan Tester (Jimmy), Carla Hill, Donnie Vaughan, Jr., Ron Vaughan (Lisa), Brian Vaughan (Jenna); Grandchildren, Henry Vaughan, Ben Vaughan, Lauren Austin, and Katie Hill; Great Grandchildren, Jameson Austin and Aubrey Austin; Mr. Vaughan is also survived by Grandchildren, Amanda, Josh, Daniel, Maddy, Destiney, Jessica, Rochelle, and Ashton; Great Grandchildren, Shaylan, Avery, River, Clay, Charlotte, Emberleigh, Chantleigh, Niklaus, Daesyn, Kyeler, Layken, Emrik, Amillie, Mason, Kaisen, Asah; sisters, Rachel V. Gregory, Nancy V. Anderson (Les), and Dianne V. Roark (Russell).  He was predeceased by three sisters, Sara Sprouse, Betty Harmon and Mary Welborn and two brothers Howard "Sonny" Vaughan, Jr. and Gene Vaughan.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Philippi Baptist Church cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Robert Scott.

Active Pallbearers will be Perry Harmon, Mark Gregory, Bob Sprouse, Travis Anderson, Troy Vaughan and Daniel Revis.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2023 at the S.R Holcombe Chapel.

The family will be at the home of his son, Brian and Jenna Vaughan, 204 Lakeview Heights, Union, SC 29379.
